1. Screens Thickness Comparison
Screen thickness plays an important part in iPhone installation. The closer to the original the better, so we measure every screen with multi-meter and compare them in one picture, furthermore, to get more accurate data, we measure the screens from right upper to left bottom.
2. Appearance Comparison
Take three screens for a group, we compare their appearance. First are the frames, the arcs, then flexible cables and IC which show the brand, last some other parts. In doing so, the workmanship can be clearly detected. Poor appearance screens are suggested to give up.
3. Oleophobic Coating
Oleophobic coating is quite a useful function in everyday use. We use water drops to test. First dip a few water drops on each screen, and then slant the screens to slide off the water drops. The screens that remain no trace at all are worth consideration.
4. Screens on iPhone Thickness Comparison
For better user experience, iPhone is the thicker the better. For this reason, we install the screens on an iPhone X, then measure the iPhone X’s thickness one by one. To make it more accurate, we measure the iPhone from right upper to left bottom.
5. Performance in the sun
To compare their performance in the sun, we use a pair of sunglasses. To begin with set all screens to highest brightness, then put the sunglasses above the screens and rotate them all directions. Check their performance under such circumstance.
Furthermore, we put the sunglasses at a lower angle and rotate them all directions in the same way. Finally, set the screens to Setting menu, and compare in the same way.
6. Color performance
Now compare their color performance. For this purpose, we choose eight wallpapers for comparison. The wallpapers we adopt are Green Leaves, Hill, Night Tower, Ocean, Coast, White Black and Grey. In the way color performance can easily be tested .
7. Data Report
If condition allowed, better to use a device to obtain the data report of the screens. So that the gamut volume and gamut coverage, two key factor of screen performance, could be collected.
8. Refresh Rate
To test the touch function or 3D Touch function, touch and hold onto screens to move rapidly. The screens showing delay perform poorly on refresh rate.
9. Temperature Control
Install the screens on iPhone X and play a same game Asphalt 8. A few minutes later, scan the screens with thermo detector, then the temperature can be observed. In this way, the temperature control of the screen can be known.
